Danish Problems ...and a Short Report from Iceland

Abstract

Introduction:  Per Jespersen wrote a problematic article in the November 1993 issue of Analytic Teaching.  The article is problematic for several reasons.  For one thing, it is more of a personal letter to fellow Danes than an article intended for international audience.  The article also lacks accurate references, both in terms of sources and the subject.  In this response, I want to clear some general issues and raise a few questions.  Finally, I will give a short report on the experience of Philosophy for Children in Iceland, an experience which is quite different from the one reported from Denmark.
