Reason vs. Will for Altruism: Some Implications for Moral Education
Abstract
Introduction: Two questions will be addressed in this paper; first, whether altruism can be rational; second, whether rationality can give a strength of will to be altruistic. In answering both questions, this paper will take advantage of the rational choice framework and Confucian morality.Downloads
