Abstract

Introduction:  In an interview with Bill Moyers, Brown University's new president.  Vartan Gregorian, observed an increasingly obvious fact confronting higher education: "What is missing in our education is integration of knowledge.  Somewhere, somehow, we have to provide that" (A World of Ideas, p. 186).
