Abstract

Introduction: The study of moral action in young adulthood provides an opportunity to understand more fully its origins in order that educational experiences which increase the likelihood of moral action maybe intentionally designed and implemented during the college years. This is a report of the Sierrans Revisited Project, an investigation of the response by young adults to the moral dilemmas encountered in their lives in their late 20s and early 30s. Using the personal narrative approach, the investigators identified recurring patterns of moral action in the interpersonal and work environments in which moral dilemmas occurred.
