Community, Alteridad* and Difference, The Voices of difference

Abstract

Introduction:  We live in an age without certainties. The all-encompassing and universal tales of a highly metaphysical slant, impervious in their totalizing generality to the differences that give meaning to history and to our present, have suffered throughout this century a fate of disappointing dissolution. Based on this statement, our intention is to reflect on the role that philosophy and philosophizing play - in conjunction with the notion of community of inquiry - in our times, as reflected in the crisis of certain contemporary philosophical-narrative forms.
